Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
